The MDPN 100 - Day 13 | Easy F*cking Ways To Get More Sales
Transcript
Welcome to Day 13 of the MDPN 100.
As always, I want to start by saying that you should NOT use AI to write your story. I say this because when you give AI your full backstory and what you learned from it, it can then learn it and feed it to any and everyone on the internet.
We’re entering a time where the only thing that’ll set you apart from your competitors AND AI is your story and expertise. The stories you have and the lessons you’ve learned that AI can’t replace or replicate (yet, and hopefully never).
So I think it’s really important for you to protect them.
Yesterday’s lesson was a bit long so I’ll keep today’s lesson short.
In today’s story, you’ll share a happy accident that helped you score a win that your audience wants to have. You’ll share how the unexpected experience taught you a shortcut that saves their time, energy, or resources, and how you incorporated that shortcut into your product.
In a time where it feels like everyone’s daily ToDo list is 10 miles long, the one thing we all feel like we’re running out of is “time”.
Instead of adding less to our task sheet, people are spending thousands on shortcuts that will help them do more.
If you tell your ideal buyer that, with your product, they can achieve success by doing less, their ears will perk up and their cards will shimmy out of their wallets.
Play up the stress, doubts, and difficulties that you ran into in the process of discovering this shortcut, so they’ll say, “Oh yeah no, I don’t want to go through that. I’ll just pay him or her to cut that middle part out for me.”
Emotions are everything in storytelling, and shortcuts are what everybody wants. Pair those 2 together and it’s the perfect recipe for a fast sale.
